2010–2011 Schedule for MCAS Testing

All students are required to pass the Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS) Test in order to receive a high school diploma. To help prepare students for the MCAS, Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School provides after school help in Mathematics and English language Arts on Thursdays. A 3:20 bus will be available to students on Thursdays (except for Freetown residents).
Students needing help in English Language Arts will improve their reading comprehension and writing skills through personalized instruction using MCAS practice tests. Students needing help in Mathematics will receive personalized instruction in Algebra or Geometry.
Many students fail MCAS by a few points and tutoring help can be that extra push to ensure that your child successfully passes MCAS and meets graduation requirements.
Please note that evidence of participation in MCAS tutoring is one of the several criteria required by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in order to be eligible for an MCAS Performance Appeal.
