Student Council
Old Colony Student Council (2008-2009) The Student Council is a student organization designed to provide democratic school government through representation and participation of the student body in school affairs. The council serves as a mechanism for student expression, and as a channel of communication to the administration and the school committee. The Student Council establishes standards of education integrity, and school pride, while promoting the general welfare of Old Colony and its community. The Student Council has an active school year planned under the leadership of Administrative Assistant/Student Council Advisor David Harrison. Once again this year, the Old Colony Student Council will participate in the activities of the Southeastern Massachusetts Association of Student Councils (SEMASC). SEMASC member schools have already conducted their fall officer training program in Worcester, MA. Throughout the school year, the Student Council is involved in the following activities:
