Grads leave with diplomas and special skills

The message on Erin Taylor’s graduation cap spoke to her feelings: “I want to sing with all my heart a lifelong song.”

The class salutatorian and treasurer for the Old Colony Class of 2018 said her goodbyes to classmates and the school she’s been a part of for the past four years, but she said she doesn’t leave empty handed.

“I’m so glad I went to a vocational school,” the Rochester resident said. “We did a project my junior year in my graphic communications and design class, where we started a T-shirt company and we had to do the design from scratch. I based my design on Tenth Avenue North, a Christian music group from Nashville.
