New Freshman Orientation 6/6/16 & Math Placement Test

On Monday, June 6, 2016 from 6 – 8 pm Old Colony will be hosting the New Freshman Orientation. All students accepted to the Class of 2020 will receive a welcome and overview the Old Colony. The theme for the evening is “expectations”. Students and their families will learn what is expected of students in all areas of Old Colony life and what students and families can expect from Old Colony. We look forward to welcoming our new students and helping them become familiar with Old Colony.

Also, all incoming freshmen must complete a math placement test in order for them to be placed in the correct math class for which they are best prepared. There is no preparation needed on your child’s part for this test. It is simply an assessment of their current math skills level. This placement test is being conducted at Old Colony on Saturday 6/4/16 from 9 am – 11 am. Should your child finish before 11:00, we recommend he/she bring a book to read or a cell phone to call for a ride. We are asking for an 8:45 drop off as testing begins promptly at 9. Unfortunately we will not be able to test students who arrive late. Please email our Guidance Department at lsherman@oldcolony.us with your child’s name to confirm they will be in attendance for this testing. There will be an alternate date over the next few weeks should the 4th be unavailable for your family.
